The Pasta Friday Cookbook

Our September book club event will be a little different, we're hosting a dinner for Allison Arevalo's new book, The Pasta Friday Cookbook! This is a wonderful collection of simple pasta recipes organized by season. Allison's call to action is to have your friends over for dinner on Friday night and serve a big, no fuss bowl of pasta. The intention is to get your community together.

To make this evening extra special, author Allison Arevalo will be joining us along with Gianluigi Peduzzi from Rustichella d'Abruzzo in Italy! We'll have cookbooks and Rustichella Pasta available for purchase.


Friday, September 27, 2019, 5:30-10pm

A prix fixe menu (below) based on the cookbook will be served during normal dinner hours, from 5:30 to 10:00. There will be no formal book discussion this month.


Cost: $40 (before tax and gratuity)

The 3-course menu drawn from Pasta Friday will include:

- Classic Italian Chopped Salad: Gem lettuce, salami, cherry tomatoes, aged asiago cheese, olives, and garlic vinaigrette

- Dad's Famous Roasted Red Pepper Sauce with Rustichella d'Abruzzo mezze maniche (wide tube pasta) & house-made focaccia

- Roasted strawberry-balsamic ice cream

About Flora's Book Club

Flora's book club will be an ongoing, monthly-ish, reservation-based dinner series. A book will be selected and will be accompanied by a prix fixe dinner that it inspired. Our intention is to create a space for community and conversation. Reservations will be limited, as we want our dinner to be conducive to conversation. We're choosing books we love or that have special meaning to us. Our book club selections are a work in progress, so please share your suggestions!
